All of us have some dreams and some goals in our lives. And each goal needs you to live a life. The desire makes your soul twitchy and anxious, it makes your soul jump beats and doesn’t let it settle unless you get what you need. Once you do, you are okay with what you have and you think you have got what you always needed, your soul calms down and you can rest.
Some, just lower their expectations, make a short term goal and live just long enough. Some, have sky-high goals and live an immortal life. Some still alive in our hearts, souls, minds, and books. Some just want to live just as long as their partner and make combined goals with them. They find someone with the same thirst and the same desires.
What life truly is, is all about how you plan to live it and what do you plan to have when all of it comes to an end. It’s all about what you want from yourself and what do you wish to have by tonight. It’s all about the moments that you live in the todays, the memories that you created in the yesterdays and what do you see for yourself in the tomorrows.
Only business empires and careers are not limited to goals. Staying fit, loving someone, getting loved, getting famous, completing the novel that you read half way through, completing the incomplete novel that you wrote halfway through, completing the stories of you today, meeting new people, gaining new experiences, setting out on a world tour, meeting people you would love to meet and meeting people you don’t know exists. All these are goals, all these are desires that fuel our lives, all these are what we live for.
What was the one thing that you learned in your college days?
What I learned was that attendance is a lot more important than what I learn in college.
You could attend all the lectures and pay no attention to what someone is saying, sit on the bench for the entire day and still be in the good books of everyone. Or you can just sit at home learn everything there is to the course and you will still be in the bad books. But that is the problem, in the exams of life, no one would ever be able to teach you what you are supposed to do and you are expected to learn everything on your own.
Now only if everyone could understand this and let you learn on your own, your life would be a lot easier in the long run.
Have you ever read about the richest and the most successful people in the world? Dropouts, failures, uneducated, and still, they are doing a lot better than those passed out from the top colleges of the world. Why? Because they never thought educations is important for them to get what they want. All they wanted was to learn the things they need and used that knowledge wisely.
The passion and desire that makes you go crazy for the things that you want, is what counts. Education might never be able to teach you how to make a decision in life. All it teaches you is the definition of “decisions”.
Becoming successful needs you to take risk and education works to minimize your risks. How are you going to run the long run, when you are scared to take a short leap of faith?
Everything about the way we were born sounds so hyped. Scientifically, with the race, astronomically, with the position of the planets and the stars, mythologically, with the purpose of life, and individually, well, everyone except you was excited. It doesn’t sound like you were born and it is a natural process, no. It was such a big deal the Lords delivered you to the house.
But you were born anyway, and right now you are the worst person you have ever met in your life. You are lazy, or you are not confident, you’ve procrastinated a lot, you can’t cope up with the competition, you are not worth something you have, and a lot more things that you have as reasons to hate yourself. Also, you are short on reasons to fall in love with yourself, or probably, falling in love with yourself is the last thing you would ever do.
But was your birth really your choice? No. You were born because someone was ready to have you in their lives. Someone who wanted a baby. You eventually grew up to be you, someone the baby hates too!
But what if your birth was a choice. Something all of us got as a choice and took it, but don’t remember it anymore. What if it was a written agreement even, we just don’t remember reading it, or maybe never read it, just signed it, as we do to the agreements of software.
But if it were a choice to you right now, will you take it? Or not? If birth is actually a choice, will you take it, to be who you are today? Or will you not.
If you will, then are you sure about it, are you sure that what you have is all you ever wanted? Think over it. And if not, you know you will regret everything you are doing today, at some point in the future. So, it is probably time to change it, it is probably time you start doing something for yourself.
It is probably time, when you start loving yourself and take birth as a choice and not as something that just happened.
