Another one from the old book. This was one of my first poems and I don’t even remember when I wrote it. Probably on a page in school lecture 6 years ago or on a message thread while returning from classes, there were no memos back then. Anyways, it is out, please don’t laugh. Please.
I was too busy gazing the stars for they looked bizarrely bright,
Collecting the stones, I dropped the diamond, the soul of the night,
I used to see the moon, when I knew counting till one,
I learned and I began to count and forgot my dear someone.
I was dumb, to not realize it soon,
Counting the stars, fading was my moon,
Making relations with those who were said to be the far ones
I lost those who were dearest to me, once.
I ignored my moon, it said goodbye and disappeared,
With the light of the night, I lost everything I feared.
It was too late, to realize my heart beats for you,
I want you back, find you, but have nothing, no clue.
Even though it hurts, I will be the first,
The one, who will raise the curse,
Eyes teary, and sky starry,
I’m glad of the day,
I met you, I must say,
The green top and blue jeans,
The single plait and us preteens,
I texted you and said, “Hey”
Because I had nothing else to say,
“Forever together we may be”
4 a.m. chats, may we?
And then we had a session,
3 days after my confession,
I had a glance of you,
Your jeans were still blue,
May we meet finally?
And we met near the winery,
And then we had our moments
But all you remember are these,
The long walks,
The small talks
The deary classes,
Lying down in grasses,
Nothing about us, really?
Just the places we’ve been,
I know you cover your laugh,
And your best friend is mean,
And I know you don’t know the path,
You are afraid of lightning’s wrath
You never have an umbrella,
And you don’t need a spoon with Nutella.
I don’t remember your face well,
And I haven’t heard your voice,
We don’t talk anymore,
But I still know your choice,
You don’t have a favorite color,
But you shout yellow when asked,
And you don’t watch superheroes,
But Spiderman, or rather the actor who is masked.
Sing Love the way you lie?
You are Rihanna and I’m Fire Marshal
Because it’s about the little things,
That make everything so special
And you have a million of those,
I remember each one,
Times you repeat everything is four
And I hear it like, one.
I don’t think of you,
I don’t know you,
Do you have a clue,
I’m typing this out,
This is my shout,
No matter how far you are,
I’ll find a way out,
Just because you are compatible
Doesn’t mean it’s love,
And just because you aren’t compatible
Doesn’t mean, you didn’t love.
