Pandora’s Box

You know something might be bad for you and you still want it. Curiosity does kill a man.

You have signed up for things that you can’t get rid of now. You are stuck doing something you wanted to do a few months ago but now you are just getting tired of it. You don’t want any of it anymore. You are now just waiting for the things to end but it just keeps on going. One thing after the other, one little thing gets over and another big burden waits for you to shoulder it.

It is just breathtakingly tiresome. Just like a box that you opened to check what was inside it, and now the box is so deep and has so much in it that it has been hours and you are not done with even a fraction of the box. The box is limitless, now you don’t want to leave the box that you think you are halfway through and the box just won’t end.

Pandora’s box? Maybe.

You opened it up and it brought nothing but problems. A box full of complications and nothing else. You are wasting time on seeing what is in the box, that is something you wanted to do. But at the same time, now you have a lot more to take care of and the box at hand seems to only be distracting you.

What are you supposed to do? Leave the box halfway through? Even though seeing what is in the box, was something you wanted to do for a very long time? Or you just keep on digging deeper, go to the end of the box and believe that everything else can wait, even though it might be your sole chance?

What life always brings at you is on similar lines. A box full of crap that you have nothing to do anything, a box of distraction; and task that might be your only chance.

We are all stuck with our Pandora’s Boxes while the world is tired of shooting chances at us. Instead of falling into the temptation of seeing what is in the box and never being able to get out of it, just keep the box locked. Keep it locked, swallow the keys and dump the box into the sands of the deserts.

Out of sight, out of mind.
