You want something from life and you seek advice on it from people who already have it. So you look up at them, listen to what they say and try to bring their words to actions. Sometimes, a lot of what they say seems to be working for you. You take their advice to heart, you fall in love with their ways, and you seem to be making progress.
More than that, you are just happy that you are making progress and you don’t need to think much about the action plan. You are not panicking anymore, you are not pacing around the room through the day, you don’t have teary nights, and you are at peace with your mind and body. You just love the way the things are going, even if they suddenly go wrong you always come back from it.
But now, they seem to go extremely wrong and now you think you have a much better plan than what the experienced guys offer, you still follow them because you think you wouldn’t have come so far without them. So you just follow what they say and you are living a life of lies but you are still okay with it.
You spend a few more months and even years staying there. You are still where you were. The progress that you made over the years, you are still there, a few times have dropped to square one, where you had no direction, but then you come back to the progressed point and stay there.
Now on a venture to a new milestone, you listen to the advisers once again and this time it goes horribly wrong. You were sure that things won’t work like they expect them to. They are going to go terribly wrong but you follow them and they go wrong. Now, what do you do?
Trust them to come up with something and take you out of this mess, like they always have, or listen to yourself and do what you think is right. Even though it might go bad and you would have no options to come back this time?
Do listen to them and play it safe, never losing it forever, or do you risk it and think if taking advice was a mistake?
