Immortal Love

Love.

An omnipresent and the most powerful feeling in the entire universe that could conquer everything, as long as it is not between the people of two different castes, creeds or is between the people of the same sex.

Love has said to have conquered a lot of things. From the hearts of millions of people around the world to a petty territory of a King. It has been there from the time life came into existence. It has been around since the time people first started writing. It has been there in the plays, movies and even the photos clicked. It is there, where you look for it.

Yet, it fails to bring two souls, that actually love each other, together. They are bound to leave each other, under the pressure of their careers, their families, the society.

Love the most powerful feeling in this world, loses all the battles. It has to fight against everything that is there to fight with. Nations, friends, people, religions, holy books, distances, villains, pasts, future, time, and if there is any strength left in you after all these battles, there is one more battle, against yourself.

After you win all these battles, and if you still have the strength, then you can love the one you fought for. Unless they left you midway while you fought your little battles, or unless your soul has died in the process of overcoming every evil in the world.

When love is said to be so strong and is said to be immortal, why does it have to die before it could bloom?

Education is not Important, Learning is

What was the one thing that you learned in your college days?

What I learned was that attendance is a lot more important than what I learn in college.

You could attend all the lectures and pay no attention to what someone is saying, sit on the bench for the entire day and still be in the good books of everyone. Or you can just sit at home learn everything there is to the course and you will still be in the bad books. But that is the problem, in the exams of life, no one would ever be able to teach you what you are supposed to do and you are expected to learn everything on your own.

Now only if everyone could understand this and let you learn on your own, your life would be a lot easier in the long run.

Have you ever read about the richest and the most successful people in the world? Dropouts, failures, uneducated, and still, they are doing a lot better than those passed out from the top colleges of the world. Why? Because they never thought educations is important for them to get what they want. All they wanted was to learn the things they need and used that knowledge wisely.

The passion and desire that makes you go crazy for the things that you want, is what counts. Education might never be able to teach you how to make a decision in life. All it teaches you is the definition of “decisions”.

Becoming successful needs you to take risk and education works to minimize your risks. How are you going to run the long run, when you are scared to take a short leap of faith?

Pandora’s Box

You know something might be bad for you and you still want it. Curiosity does kill a man.

You have signed up for things that you can’t get rid of now. You are stuck doing something you wanted to do a few months ago but now you are just getting tired of it. You don’t want any of it anymore. You are now just waiting for the things to end but it just keeps on going. One thing after the other, one little thing gets over and another big burden waits for you to shoulder it.

It is just breathtakingly tiresome. Just like a box that you opened to check what was inside it, and now the box is so deep and has so much in it that it has been hours and you are not done with even a fraction of the box. The box is limitless, now you don’t want to leave the box that you think you are halfway through and the box just won’t end.

Pandora’s box? Maybe.

You opened it up and it brought nothing but problems. A box full of complications and nothing else. You are wasting time on seeing what is in the box, that is something you wanted to do. But at the same time, now you have a lot more to take care of and the box at hand seems to only be distracting you.

What are you supposed to do? Leave the box halfway through? Even though seeing what is in the box, was something you wanted to do for a very long time? Or you just keep on digging deeper, go to the end of the box and believe that everything else can wait, even though it might be your sole chance?

What life always brings at you is on similar lines. A box full of crap that you have nothing to do anything, a box of distraction; and task that might be your only chance.

We are all stuck with our Pandora’s Boxes while the world is tired of shooting chances at us. Instead of falling into the temptation of seeing what is in the box and never being able to get out of it, just keep the box locked. Keep it locked, swallow the keys and dump the box into the sands of the deserts.

Out of sight, out of mind.

One Shot

Everyone gets one chance to have everything they have ever wanted, to change everything they have had, make their weaknesses their strengths and do what they have always feared to do. Everyone gets one shot a life.

One shot to change everything you have ever wanted and get all that you want. One shot to alter every mistake that you have made. One shot to get your dream college, your dream job, to get your dreams. One shot to get the life that you have always imagined to live. One shot to change the course of your life and be someone you’ve always feared of being. One shot to remove the bad tag from your name and make something of yourself.

And sometimes, that one shot is enough. It’s all you’ve ever wanted to change the course of your life and make yourself fall in love with your life once again. So, probably, right now, you are living that shot. Or probably it a few days down from now. This might not come back ever again.

What are you doing to get it? What are you doing to seize your shot at everything?

What makes you Special?

We live in a world with 7.7 billion people. So, right now, whatever you are going to do, whatever you think you are going to do, is something someone is doing or has done already. So if you are thinking that your idea is original and no one has ever done something like that before, think again. The once who are doing it right now, they might need to think again too, because someone might have done it already a few centuries ago.

But you know, still the world says, that everyone is unique, and we need everyone for a better world. Everyone has some purpose in life. Well, false tale. No one has a purpose, no one is unique. The universe is not free to make a purpose for each one of 7.7 billion people and it is certainly out of ideas to make you unique by now.

But then, why do the greatest of the minds and the scholars say that you are special. Why? Well, you might not be unique, you might not have a purpose in life, but I do agree, you are special. Special to someone you haven’t met yet. Special to someone you don’t know exists. Special to a task at hand. Special in the way you manage your things. Special to make yourself unique.

And well, you never know, you might be one of those who need to serve a purpose in life, and you are special to the purpose you need to serve.

All of us are special, you are special, but the problem is that you don’t know what makes you so special. You might even end up spending a big part of your life finding out what makes you special, and the short life we have, you might end up never knowing what made you special.

So, stop looking at the screen, get up, go out and start finding something that you would love to do. Or stay in, browse the internet and find what interests you.

Find something that you would love to do and do it every single day. You will know what makes you so special. And believe me, when you find out, you would fall in love with what you do, you will fall in love with life, and you would be the special soul you we know you are.

Ashes

Some people just love to see the world burn.

Light up a matchstick, throw it down from the rooftop, watch it drop through the floors and burn the entire floor, spreading fast and wide. Some people just love to see that. Not for a sadist pleasure, but because, according to them, the world deserves it or probably something much worse.

Flames growing taller and hotter. Ashes rising up with the hot winds and only dust left behind. A widespread. Everything burning down, everything melting down, and what doesn’t melt, shatters into pieces.

The world is a cruel place, and sometimes, it goes through things that one cannot imagine, but it is for its own good probably, to set it right. Back into its place. Something it deserves to be shown. But then again, are flames the only way, leaving behind ashes of the wonderful world, that we seek to save, is it the only way?

What would we save of the world, if the only thing left behind are ashes?

And do ashes, save the world? When it’s only metaphoric for destruction?

Bleed

Sometimes, darkness takes over all of us. Sometimes, you are just a little child, hiding under the bed, thinking the evil won’t find you there. Sometimes, there are no escapes. Sometimes, thinking of slitting a wrist, bleeding out a few drops and ending it once and for all, are the only thoughts that run through your mind.

Life wasn’t ever meant to be easy. It was not supposed to be a game, where before the first chapter you have a choice to select the difficulty level. It is called life, it is called a game, but one that runs only in the veteran mode. Once you are out, you don’t respawn, you start from the top. Or probably, you don’t even get to start over.

But at times like this, it is worth thinking. Do you really want to quit or stay in the fight like you always have? And is there only one way to quit? Or there are more way and more routes, and one probably even leads you back to your goal.

At times, the pain does exceed the pride, and sometimes it is not worth fighting for, but that doesn’t mean you must give up the fight completely. Even the fiercest of the fights were won after a little retreat. When the conditions are adverse, take a step back, hold on to your life and battling power for the time being and wait for reinforcements, and then you strike again. Don’t fall and forget, fall a few steps back to pounce, you must strike.

Remember that,

” We must never give up the fight, the moment we do, we have lost.” – Ezio Auditore da Firenze

A Mistake?

You want something from life and you seek advice on it from people who already have it. So you look up at them, listen to what they say and try to bring their words to actions. Sometimes, a lot of what they say seems to be working for you. You take their advice to heart, you fall in love with their ways, and you seem to be making progress.

More than that, you are just happy that you are making progress and you don’t need to think much about the action plan. You are not panicking anymore, you are not pacing around the room through the day, you don’t have teary nights, and you are at peace with your mind and body. You just love the way the things are going, even if they suddenly go wrong you always come back from it.

But now, they seem to go extremely wrong and now you think you have a much better plan than what the experienced guys offer, you still follow them because you think you wouldn’t have come so far without them. So you just follow what they say and you are living a life of lies but you are still okay with it.

You spend a few more months and even years staying there. You are still where you were. The progress that you made over the years, you are still there, a few times have dropped to square one, where you had no direction, but then you come back to the progressed point and stay there.

Now on a venture to a new milestone, you listen to the advisers once again and this time it goes horribly wrong. You were sure that things won’t work like they expect them to. They are going to go terribly wrong but you follow them and they go wrong. Now, what do you do?

Trust them to come up with something and take you out of this mess, like they always have, or listen to yourself and do what you think is right. Even though it might go bad and you would have no options to come back this time?

Do listen to them and play it safe, never losing it forever, or do you risk it and think if taking advice was a mistake?

So, the day is here.

My new title, The Perfect Couple is launching today! The title will be up really soon. Just stay tuned and I will keep you updated. Also, the giveaway winners, you’ll get your deliveries really really soon. I haven’t forgotten about them, only that you might need to wait for another day. Sorry about it, till then enjoy this excerpt from the title.

———————–

We were standing outside her place. I was there to drop her home.

“But I don’t want to go home,” she said and started stamping her feet like a five-year-old.

“But you have to,” I stated the obvious.

“I’m a teen, I can have nights out,” she said.

“You are a teen, not an adult. Go home,” I said.

“Why do you get to order me?”

“One, I’m the man in this relationship, and two, I’m older than you,” I said.

“3 months!” she shouted.

“And two thirds,” I added.

“Whatsoever,” she said and crossed her hands.

“Go home,” I said, pushing her toward the door.

“I. Don’t. Want. To. Go. Home,” she said.

“Okay, come with me.”

“Where?”

“To mine,” I said with a naughty look.

“Yay me! And your look won’t change my mind,” she said and punched my nose.

“Just tell your mom, okay?” I said.

“Why do we need to tell her?” she said and I looked at her, isn’t-it-obvious?

“Okay I’ll call.”

She told her mom that we were going to my place, and that there were 4 others with us. She wasn’t coming alone. She stammered through the call, but after 5 minutes of pleading and telling her mom that it was her birthday and a little more pleading, she finally agreed.

“Do you still want to go?”

“Yes,” she said and hugged me.

We walked together, holding and swinging our hands. It felt childish but good. We looked at the stars, and I slipped my arm around her waist. I pulled her close and tightened up.

“It hasn’t even been a day.”

“I’m sorry,” I said and pulled my hand away.

“No, I was saying it hasn’t been a day and… I feel so good about it.”

“Sure?” I asked, holding her again.

“A little tighter… Yes, that’s it,” she said. She held on to me tight and slipped the guitar pick into my pocket. She thought I wouldn’t notice. She kissed my neck and rested her head on my shoulder.

Some walks, you wish they never end,

Some seconds, you wish they never pass

Random Ranting #9 – I’m Tired

Tuesday, 19 February 2019 / Published in Blogs

I’m tired. It’s nice o’clock at night, and I’m tired already. I usually sleep at 3 in the morning or sometimes much later than that, but I guess I’ll be sleeping earlier today.

The blog is going to be short too. I’m just too tired right now to think of anything. I have no topics in my head, no ideas in my mind. I’m right now just tensed about tomorrow morning.

Firstly, because I’m worried if I will be able to wake up on time or not, and secondly, it’s a big day. I don’t feel like it, but it is a big day for me. I feel like it is just an ordinary day, and it is okay if I mess it up, or even if I miss it completely, but I guess, I might regret it later if anything like that happens tomorrow.

Now good night boys and girls, nothing worthy here, just an update, I’m just too tired. I’ll bring something exciting on the table tomorrow.
